Research4Life is thrilled to announce that Digital Science has joined our partnership with its Dimensions research data platform. Research4Life users at eligible institutions across the world and across the five different programs (Hinari, AGORA, OARE, ARDI and GOALI) can now freely use the platform. Users are welcome to join our free webinar on Thursday 7 November 2019 that walks you through the most relevant features of the platform.

Mapping the research lifecycle

Dimensions makes it easy for researchers, librarians and other players in the research ecosystem to navigate the many links between grants, publications, clinical trials, patents, and policy documents. Because Dimensions maps the entire research lifecycle, you can follow research from funding through output to impact.

Dimensions contains over 150 million research items, allowing users to find for a given study the cited and citing publications, related grants, supporting funders, article metrics, the related patents, clinical trials, policy documents, datasets, and more.

The platform contains data and expertise from Digital Science’s companies ReadCube, Altmetric, Figshare, Symplectic, Digital Science Consultancy and ÜberResearch.

From full-text search to researcher profiles

Researchers can benefit from the following functionalities:

  • Access the full text of millions of Open Access articles.
  • Full-text search and filtering options allow you to quickly find what you need.
  • Want to know more about which patents and clinical trials are linked to a particular publication? Or discover who has cited or used your research? Dimensions’ linked database means you can view information in context.
  • Researcher pages display the outputs of individual researchers, from publications to patents.
  • Link your ORCiD account with Dimensions and you can add publications from Dimensions to your ORCiD record. An up-to-date publications list helps to make your research more discoverable and ensure you receive credit for your full body of work.

Join our one-hour webinar on 7 November at 2 pm CET! To register, fill in your details on this page and we will send you all the information you need to join.
